Safe and inclusive mobility starts with quality training ๐๐ค
On 5 October 2026, CNFPC in Ettelbruck had the pleasure of welcoming Ms Yuriko Backes, Minister for Mobility and Public Works.
At the heart of the visit was the new training programme for drivers working with the Adapto, Mobibus and Mobibus-Job services. Its aim is to equip them with the skills needed to provide safe, professional and respectful support that responds to the specific needs of each passenger.
The programme consists of 4 complementary modules totalling 17 hours, combining e-learning, theoretical input and practical exercises. Beyond driving and onboard safety, it focuses in particular on communication, professional conduct, awareness of different types of disabilities and the management of complex situations.
During her visit, the Minister had the opportunity to discover the training programme and speak directly with clients/passengers, drivers and trainers about their respective experiences. Practical workshops also allowed guests to experience several of the activities included in the training, including exercises focused on assisting a person using a wheelchair and a person with a visual impairment.
This programme is the result of a genuine collaborative effort involving public stakeholders, social organisations, transport operators, trainers and beneficiaries.
A big thank you to all our partners and to everyone who shared their expertise and experience to help shape this training programme. ๐
We share a common goal: to further strengthen quality, safety and inclusion in specialised transport in Luxembourg.
